Carabao Cup fourth round: Liverpool v Chelsea headlines, Arsenal go to League Two Fleetwood

The Carabao Cup fourth round is played in the week beginning Monday 26 October, and it has produced one tie that would grace a final: Liverpool v Chelsea at Anfield.

All eight fourth-round ties

Tie
Liverpool v Chelsea Heavyweight clash at Anfield
Manchester City v Brighton Two of the Premier League's top three
Everton v Newcastle All-Premier League
Sunderland v Brentford All-Premier League
Fulham v Crystal Palace London derby
Bournemouth v Aston Villa All-Premier League
Fleetwood Town v Arsenal League Two v champions
Bradford City v Peterborough United Guaranteed EFL quarter-finalist

Arsenal's trip to Fleetwood is on Tuesday 27 October. Exact dates and times for the other ties are confirmed by the EFL around TV selections; follow our scores page for kick-offs.

Liverpool v Chelsea

Both clubs arrive in form. Liverpool have won all three Champions League games, including a 4-3 thriller with Villarreal on Tuesday, and beat Tottenham 3-1 in the third round. Chelsea scored six against Leeds in the last round and won 2-0 at Everton on Saturday. Both managers will have to balance the tie with heavy schedules: the Premier League returns that weekend, and Liverpool host Arsenal on Sunday 1 November.

Manchester City v Brighton

The Premier League leaders against the league's highest scorers. Brighton have 23 league goals in seven games; City have won all seven. Expect both managers to rotate, but there is quality throughout both squads.

Fleetwood v Arsenal

Arsenal visit Highbury Stadium — Fleetwood's ground shares a name with Arsenal's old home — four days after hosting Everton and five days before their trip to Anfield. With Bukayo Saka injured, it is a likely game for younger players: Mikel Arteta has said 16-year-old Max Dowman "will have his minutes". See our Saka injury update.
