Milan 3-1 Inter: Diego Moreira inspires Amorim's side to a third straight league derby win and ends Inter's unbeaten start
Diego Moreira set up goals for Christian Pulisic and Adrien Rabiot in the first ten minutes and then curled in a free-kick, as Milan beat Inter 3-1. It is Milan's third straight Serie A derby win and ends Inter's unbeaten start to the season.

Milan won the Derby della Madonnina 3-1 at San Siro on Saturday 31 October, three days after losing 4-2 at home to Bologna. Diego Moreira was involved in all three goals, and Inter's unbeaten start to the Serie A season is over.
The goals
| Minute | Goal |
|---|---|
| ~4' | Christian Pulisic 1-0 — a header from Moreira's left-footed cross |
| Inside 10' | Adrien Rabiot 2-0 — after a low Moreira corner, his shot clips the far post on the way in |
| 22' | Alessandro Bastoni 2-1 — header from Hakan Çalhanoğlu's corner, flicked on by Manuel Akanji |
| 43' | Diego Moreira 3-1 — a curling free-kick from about 25 yards |
Moreira's night
Moreira came back into the team after missing the Bologna defeat through injury, and changed the game: two assists and a goal. His free-kick was only the third direct free-kick goal by a Milan player in a derby since Opta records began in 2004-05, after Andrea Pirlo in 2007 and Theo Hernández in the Supercoppa in January 2025.
Rabiot, also back from injury, has now scored or assisted in each of his last five Serie A games.
Inter's response
Bastoni's header, his first goal in 20 derby appearances, brought Inter back into it, and they thought they had a chance to equalise when referee Marco Guida gave a penalty for handball against Mario Gila. VAR overturned the decision. Without captain Lautaro Martínez, Inter could not find a way back in the second half; Carlos Augusto had a header after coming on at half-time.
