Kompany "getting better every day" but Bayern expect weeks without him: Danks leads them into Magdeburg, Dortmund and Atlético
Assistant coach Aaron Danks says Vincent Kompany is in good spirits and improving, but there is still no diagnosis and Bayern expect him to be away from the touchline for several weeks. Danks will lead the team in the cup, Der Klassiker and the Champions League.

Vincent Kompany is recovering, but Bayern Munich are preparing for life without him for a while. Assistant coach Aaron Danks will lead the team through a huge run of games.
The latest on Kompany
Kompany collapsed and lost consciousness at a training session last Friday after several days of illness, and was taken to hospital in Munich. Danks visited him on Monday.
"He is in good spirits. It looks like every day he is getting better," Danks said at his press conference on Tuesday. "Let him rest, let him take his time." There were no significant updates on a diagnosis, and Danks said the visit was about personal conversation, not football.
Bayern's message has changed since the weekend: the club now expects Kompany to be away from the touchline for several weeks, not days.
Ballon d'Or winner Harry Kane spoke to him on Monday morning. "He just wanted to wish me all the best and good luck," Kane said. "He feels like he is on the mend. He is the type of character that just wants to be back with the team already."
